If i could say a word it would be brillant vertigo of soulfull ART
12 tracks of pure music. BERLIN is a nest of those creature.
Enjoy as i did…Melody, beat, melody and beat again.
Vocals and instruments, electronic and instruments.
Lyrics and soul, all in this album sound as great pop album and it is even more than this.
There is no “radio edit”, it’s not fashion as most of the popular releases.
Influences come from many things as David Byrne.
The afro funk distilled in some songs, the little baroque intro of the album is a good surprise.
The retro synths that remind some oldies make it just delightfull.
The gimmick of some greatlly enjoyable guitars, the vocoded voices give to some songs an original color for folk compositions to surround meanfull words.
It’s an album that sound as a project even some tracks seems a bit out of the general sound of the LP.
As i search and listen and dig in the net to find music, this one is a proper gift.
It’s not formatted. It’s heartfull and the production isn’t runing in a loudness war and it isn’t searching nothing more than creating and providing emotions.
Some songs in german shows how great can be this incredibly complicated language mother of some philosphical currents.
It’s of course full of references and even the is some caribean little winks or jazzy moods …
Little details scattered as some rare but well chosen glitchs or retro jungle beats give to the album a way to be listened in different ways.
Even when there is a sound borrowed to dubstep or a guitar sound from the 70’s, it’s made with good taste.
I am not fan of pitched voices and even that was ok.
I would really discover more colorfull album like that.
Humble and generous as FEWJAR are i’d just like them to sale some of this great work well ranked on bandcamp even it is far from commercial.
To have a chance to listen more music like this it depend on you.. It’s your call…
If you ever try this album try not to skip tracks .
