Cheers C.J.ROGERS

This is a very unusual and complex collection. First I thought I would not care for it, but as I listened straight through the album, I found it very enjoyable. A very creative album worth listening. The track I disliked was: make louder the world. I do not like the sax, and it was rather boring, but the rest of the album is excellent!~ sERIAL BIRTH 01 is long, but also one of my favourite tracks. The whole album being just under 80 minutes, seems to play in a much shorter time…feels more like fortyfive minutes. Very good!~

I have to agree with nifer, this album was very well made, and constructed by a very talented musician and composer. Some really interesting, stylish, individual, expressions of musical sound-scapes are heard and felt on this unusual,trip-hop, ambient, new age, progressive, electronic, vocals album. Love the depth, and flow to the music. Let alone the captivating, thought provoking, emotions, it has on you, as well. The more you listen, the more you, are drawn, into this album, more and more. And times does seem to fly by fast…

We will like some and dislike some but we won’t all like or dislike the same. Music comes from the heart. Enjoy what you do and your listeners will enjoy what you do. For me this album is good and engaging with a varying range of styles. My preference is for longer tracks blending a few different styles. I like the longer albums that engage the mind and take me on a journey. There is nothing more disappointing than the journey coming to a quick end. Look forward to future efforts so keep at it and enjoy!!

pas ma came

‘Fly away’ – with this remarkable album by Creix. This music is sensitive to the soul. Streaming through like a cool drink of water from a fresh mountain stream. Yet the drums are powerful enough to thrash any lurking demons. It makes me think of a patchwork quilt, with every color and hue, exciting shapes in every patch, and a comfort to draw around you. Each song, though, as it comes by, is new and unique with its own personality, like a roomful of friends. I really like the drums, chants, and melodies in these songs. I love the intro song: “fly away” which has become engraved on my brain, like a mystical region I found in a dream, once. “wanted” woke me right up with its diva drums. Loved it. “Realistic” had two layers, one firmly calm and the other emotional and pleading. The lovely piano being one of the calming voices. “quest c” was a short jungle trip, hopping, with some warm chants and moving instruments. Nice. “moreday news remix” with its despairing cry really struck a chord with me and my need to help. . .this one had drama and a unique appeal in its raw angst. “serial birth-01″ begins with a mounting tension in the intro and releases into a beautiful melody; adding instruments as it flies along picking up momentum and the listener along the way; relaxing and then applying the pressure again and always flowing like renewal itself. This song was epic in nature, telling a story as it progressed, commanding the listener to pay attention, surging from ear to ear, from heart to head and back again, yet always as gentle as the breeze following the storm. It ended so quietly and then disappeared into space. “Course sans espoir,” was such nice triphop music to begin. I couldn’t understand the words, but the tone was one of drama and perhaps a little rage. As this tune progressed it also calmed down and became a gentle entity like a rose petal dropping to the ground. Seeking to retain a little of itself. “eyes scares sax” since I know a little of the background to the tune, I am especially fond of it, and the beauty that engulfs you as you listen. The music is truly soul soothing along with the powerful drums that scare away the tormenting demons. “i was gonna be a piano player” had the tempo and beat for dance but with the raw anguish of the vocalist who, with all his heart has always longed for something, is very powering through this piece. “jungle” was/is jungle with its powerful earth call and ambient sounds. Lovely. “make louder the world” had a peculiar greasy sound, making it slippery, with a lovely little sax, muttering to itself. The top sound layer to this song would burst through, trying to promote itself and attempting to drown out the sax. The sax, though, with a laid back attitude could hold his own. Very nice little piece – wished it were just a little longer. “secoustics” was just a nice, empowering piece of music, with lasting effect. I thought it had a nice length to it. “vug mong 5″ is way darker than all the rest. I really liked the beat and the hellish undertones. Kind of like life, sometimes. We end the album with “enfermement” a very short tune with some portentous tones to its nature. Creix, with a broad brush, and an unlimited talent, presents his emotions on the canvas of music with grace, strength and beauty. I really enjoyed this album and I do think most music lovers would love it too.
